Groups St Andrews 2021 in Newcastle

The Conference

Groups St Andrews 2021 is organised by the University of St Andrews and Newcastle University. It will take place in Newcastle between Saturday 7th August (arrival day) and Sunday 15th August 2021 (departure day). The talks will happen from 8th August until 14th August 2021 (inclusive).

This conference, the eleventh in the series of Groups St Andrews Conferences, will be organised along similar lines to previous events in this series. The programme will include:

  • Series of talks given by the four principal speakers who will each deliver four 1-hour lectures.
  • Plenary one-hour talks given by five invited speakers.
  • Contributed short talks given by delegates. Each delegate will have the option to offer such a talk.

The conference aims to cover all aspects of group theory. The short lecture courses are intended to be accessible to postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers in all areas of group theory.
