Facebook
We have set up an official Group St. Andrews 2009 Facebook group. For the
unaware, Facebook is a popular social networking site. Once you join the group
you can share your photos of the conference, leave messages for everyone
here to read, and start discussions about anything you like. If you already
have a Facebook account, you can just follow this link:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=105841647314
and join immediately. If you don't already have an account you will need to
make one. Never fear though, it's very straightforward, just follow the
step-by-step instructions below:
-
Go to www.facebook.com
-
Underneath where "Sign Up" is written, enter your name, email, date of
birth, gender and choice of password for your Facebook account.
-
You will now be asked to enter some security words that you see in front
of you. Once you have done so they will send you a confirmation email. Follow
the link they send you in the email. You will probably be presented with
various steps to customise your profile (adding friends, adding a photo of
yourself etc). You can skip all these steps if you wish.
-
You will now be taken to your profile page. Copy and paste this link into
your browser:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=105841647314
This is the conference group page (you may want to bookmark this for future
reference). On this page, click the link to "Join this group".
-
That's it! Now you can upload photos, videos, leave comments, start
discussions, more or less anything you like, it's all fairly self
explanatory. We hope you enjoy using this facility.
